Hello,

I want to insert date somewhere on the first page and I don’t want the date to update automatically.

Is it possible to do this in MS Word 2010?

If yes, how?

There are 2 ways you can do in order to enter a date in a document:

  1. Type the date you want within the document (in your case, the first page)
  2. Select the Insert tab in your MS Word 2010 and click the Date and Time button found in the Text group. Choose the date format you want to use and in the lower-right corner, uncheck the Update Automatically check box in order to avoid automatic update for the dates of your. T
  • The current date will appear in the location of your cursor, change it to the date you want to enter.

I hope this helps!

Hello Lyndon,

The following is the procedure that you will need to use to add a dynamic date in MS Word 2010:

For Word 2010 for Windows you will need to do the following:

  • First, you will need to click the Insert tab, and then go to the "Text" area, and then select Date & Time.
After that, you will need to choose the format you want.
  • And then you will choose Update automatically if it is not already selected.
  • That will set the date to change each day, automatically.
  • After you have done that click OK to save the changes.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Carl
