Hello one of the laptops in here has some  cdrom issues it keeps on opening and closing automatically !
What should i do?
Should i remove the cdrom or is there something else that i can try to repair this please help me the owner will get it next Friday
Its Not a Big Problem You Don't Need to Worry About that … Cause it Happens When The Band is Loosed !
Band is Basically A Rubber That Takes Your Cd Rom IN/OUT
So if You Changed That Rubber Then it Will Work properly !
And There is No Any Software Error !
I think the problem with your CD-ROM drive is not the rubber band that makes the door open. Although it’s true, that rubber band is connected to a motor that controls the opening and closing of the optical drive’s door. If the drive’s door is already uncontrollable and just keeps on opening and closing all the time maybe the best remedy is to replace the optical drive.
It is possible that the button of the drive that is used to open and close it is already stuck. If you know a little of electronics you can open the optical drive’s casing and then remove the small button inside. It is soldered to the board. You just need to find a replacement for that particular type of button and then solder it back.
If you don’t have any knowledge about soldering small electronic parts, I think the best thing that you should do is to explain to the owner the current status of the drive and explain what has happened.
