Help: backup with Converter Standalone Client

Hi,

I use Converter Standalone client to backup a VMWare server to NAS storage. I tried 3 times but all fails at 95%. NAS has enough space (near than 2T while my server is around 400G). It shows that all drives are back up successfully, then it shows:

Starting reconfiguration.

and some minutes later: Reconfiguration failed.

Anyone has ideas for this. What should I check more now?

Thanks

This often happens due to missing files and system incompatibility. You can troubleshoot for missing files because some of the files used for reconfiguration often end up missing. You can do this by checking in the %ALLUSERSPROFILE%Application DataVMwareVMware Converter EnterpriseLogs. It will show you if files are missing or needs to be replaced. You can also use the Run option and key in sfc/scannow then press enter.

The command will automatically search for missing files. You must be ready with the CD installer because if files are missing or corrupted, the computer will need the original installer to repair or replace the files. Another option is to check if the boot.ini file is not missing and if it is valid with the system that you are running. You could repair the file if it does not recognize your OS.
