Hi Cynthia,

Most times, this error is usually caused by a storage device or a USB drive that is failing and that does not meet the minimum specs required. To fix this, you should:

·Try clearing the cache for the device

·Reinstall the game once more

·Test if the disc is the issue by installing it in a friend's Xbox 360

·If installed on a USB drive, make sure the USB drive meets the minimum specs

·Make sure your USB has the best performance by attempting to install it to the Xbox 360 HDD directly or onto a different USB drive; that is if there is enough space

·If the game is installed on the XBOX hard drive, attempt an installation to a USB drive, which meets the required specs. Though, a brand new USB flash drive is suggested so as to ensure the best performance.

I hope this information helps.

If you are playing “Grand Theft Auto V” on Xbox 360 and you encounter the error “The game was restarted due to a problem with the storage device”, frequently this problem is caused by a failing storage device that doesn’t meet the minimum specifications. First thing to try is to clear the system cache on Xbox 360.

On the controller, press the “Guide” button then go to “Settings”, “System Settings” then “Storage”. In “Storage Devices” screen, highlight but don’t select the local hard drive then press “Y” on the controller to access the “Device Options”. In “Device Options” screen, select “Clear System Cache” then click “Yes” when you are prompted to confirm storage device maintenance.

If this doesn’t work, try deleting the game installation from the Xbox Home screen or the “Dashboard”. After this, allow the game to reinstall the next time you boot Xbox. The game data can be deleted by going to “System Settings” then “Storage”. For more information, head down to Problem with storage device error in Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox 360.
