Hi!
I installed Google SketchUp on my Dell Studio laptop and I got the following error message:
"An error occurred during the installation of assembly: Microsoft, VC 80. CRT, type= "win 32", version= '8.0.50727.4053", publicKeyToken= "1fc8b3b9a1eb", processor Architecture= "x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8007054F."
Has anyone encountered such problem?

Google SketchUp Installation problem in Dell Studio laptop
Hello,
I will try to guide you through the problem.
The error 0x8007054F is an error which is caused in the hexadecimal code system used by windows and various windows applications. This error is caused when some system files are damaged. The corrupted files if not dealt with can cause a great amount of permanent damage to your systems hardware.
So now we know the problem is with the system and not the software you are trying to run.
Lets cut to the chase and see the various methods with which you will be able to solve this problem:
1. If you are a little familiar with system tools you can choose this option which requires some manual work. Go to system tools and find system restore. Use this option to restore your system to a point of time which it last worked best. This will repair damaged files. The system will be restarted and hopefully you can install the program and run it. I advice a backup of files before this step.
2. you can find various software's on net which directly and automatically repair this sorts of error. various applications named after this error are available on the internet. Download one and run it,rest will be automated. Again a backup could be helpful in any case
Hope this solves your problem
Good luck.
