Google Chrome automatically alters the settings of PC screen

Hi,

I don’t know the reason, but running Google Chrome automatically alters the settings of my PC screen. An Optimal Resolution Notification tells me “This is not the optimal screen resolution for the primary display device.

The optimal resolution is 1366 x 768.

Click this notification for more information.”

Windows – Application Error

The application was unable to start correctly (0x00000a5). Click OK to

close the application.

OK

I’m not completely sure if it is related to Chrome, but it does happen when I open it.

How do I stop the notifications? Is it really caused by Chrome?

Please help.

Thanks.

Dear User,

You can fix this error following these solutions.

First right click chrome and go to properties.

There select compatibility tab.

Make sure under the settings none of them are selected. As shown below.

If selected unselect them and open Chrome. This will fix your problem.

If not you can always uninstall your current Chrome version and install a newer version

Thank you

Yes James,

Normally when such problems arise there are two instances of the causes:

1. There could be a virus affecting the execution of your application. Try scanning with a strong antivirus and also check if the installation was done correctly.

2. Your operating system may not integrate well with Google chrome.

Check specifications for installing Google chrome and confirm if they qualify.
