Hi,

You do not need to install any software in your PC for Gmail Drive as it already does that.

It creates a file system that is virtual and that also enables you to retrieve and send files directly from Windows Explorer.

Gmail generally acts as a hard-drive that is installed like any other on your PC.

Hi Scott,

First, your Gmail account should be linked with My Computer.

Follow viksoe GMail Drive shell extension

Download an extension in zip format. Extract all files and install the application.

Right click on the setup.exe to install.

Once the installation is complete, the drive can be visible on the computer drive.

If there are any other queries,

I am at your service.

Regards,

Lawrence.

Hello,

Gmail Drive is the software that you are looking for.

It creates a virtual file system around your Google Mail account that allows you to use Gmail as a storage medium.

It adds a new drive to your system under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag and drop files to it.

This URL will direct you to the site where you can download the application.

It is actually called Google Drive and not Gmail Drive. The first thing you should know to be able to use it is to have a Gmail account. It is available when you have a Gmail account and you will see it among the menus so you don’t have to create a separate account for the Google Drive.

If you don’t have a Gmail account, go create your account and after that you will see Google Drive will be available for you. You don’t necessarily need to download the installer to use it since it is already available in the web interface.

Upon logging in to your Gmail account, below the email messages you will see something like “0.01 GB (0%) of 15 GB used”. Click Manage below it. This will bring you to your drive storage. Under “Your storage is shared across”, click Google Drive. If you don’t see this, simply click here Google Drive.

Google Drive also offers a downloadable installer so you can easily synchronize your computer with your Google Drive account. But it is really not necessary to download it if you only wish to use Google Drive from time to time because you can already do your uploading via the web interface.
