Hello,

I am getting an error from Audio Hijack when trying to record audio from a CD. I am doing something wrong or does Hijack support CD/DVD recording?

There is actually no problem with the program and you are doing it right. But the only problem is that you are logged in on your computer using a restricted account. A restricted account or limited account is the type of user account administrators creates for their users to use the computer. This type has limited functions like copy, edit, delete, or move his or her own user files only.

It also doesn’t have the ability to uninstall and install applications to the computer. To use the application properly, you need to log in using an administrator account. If you still see this message on your screen, logout your account and then log in again using the administrator account and then restart what you are doing.

But on the other hand, if you are already using an account with administrative privileges, you need to check the setting of the program. Change the location of the Scratch Disk and point it to the drive where you don’t have problem saving your files or to the drive where you usually save your files.
