GenStat License Error – Invalid host

I have reformatted my PC since it has been corrupted so much that some of our programs would not work properly. Now that I have installed a newer OS, Windows 7, I started to install the programs that we mostly use and including GenStat.

But when I install the license key this error came. I was thinking that this was due to the change of OS so I was forced to reformat the PC after installing several programs in it. I installed the previous OS which is Vista. Now this error came back when I tried to install the license of GenStat.

It is so frustrating to think that I have spent so much time and end up getting the same error. How do I fix this problem?

GenStat License Error – Invalid host

Hello Hall,

You are getting that error because you have installing the license key that has been issued onto a different PC from where the request came from or the PC has been reformatted and as a result changing the Host ID of the machine.  Note that license keys are machine specific, and therefore whichever machine the license request came from, the license key which is sent to you will work for. You cannot be able to install onto another PC as it will not work.

Regards,

Nicke

The reason for this error is that the license key that has been issued for this copy of GenStat is being installed on another computer, instead of the one you are using, or the PC that you are using is being reformatted that has changed Host ID. License keys are machine specific once it is installed on a PC it will only work for that PC and cannot be installed on another PC.

So kindly send a new registration request from the PC you are using to https://www.vsni.co.uk/ they will supply you with a license key for using GenStat.

Thanks
