I am playing Cabal Online and the game uses GameGuard as game protection. I have GameBooster 3.5 beta and whenever I turn on or activate FPS, a window will popup saying game hacking tool is detected. I can’t use video recording, FPS benchmarking, and screenshot. I already followed the instruction on the message. I rebooted the computer and started the game again.
But still, whenever I turn on FPS, the message appears again. The message doesn’t appear when FPS is turned off.
I also encountered a similar error when playing Cabal Online which also displayed the message “hacking tool detected”. In my case, I didn’t use GameBooster though I have it installed on my computer and running in the background since it starts with Windows but my system is not boosted or optimized with GameBooster.
I receive the error because of the newly installed program called “Free Download Manager” which is also running in the background. I fixed the problem by completely closing Free Download Manager. In your case, since you are using the beta version of GameBooster, try installing a stable version. Try downloading Smart Game Booster instead. It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10.
Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select GameBooster among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer.
When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then install the new Smart Game Booster you downloaded.
