Help me guys! I have just bought a cd for the game and installed it but London 2012 pc won’t start it! Nothing comes up except for an error report (Exception C0000005 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION) which is seen in the folder where the game is installed. I tried looking for a solution but couldn’t see anything. Please help.

The issue arises because of two main things. The error and their solutions are as follows
1. The first problem could be that you have a faulty RAM. So open the case remove the RAM. Clean the dust in and around the cpu and then insert the RAM again. Start the game again to see if it solves the problem.
2. It can also arise if a text file name options.ini is missing
So go to the games folder and create a text file name options.ini and in it type this
Resolution = 800 600
TimesInGame=1
