Definitely yes! The SmartWatch is compatible with Android apps for social updates, music, and some applications are compatible with the device's 1.3-inch touch screen, such as, Sony's own music player and TicTacToe.

But the numbers of new apps are available for download through Google Play, including those for social updates, workouts and music – all customized for the 1.3-inch OLED SmartWatch touch screen.

SmartWatch still works with these existing apps, but the good news is that Android developers are now creating apps specifically and exclusively for the device. SmartWatch retrieves text messages, emails, and Twitter and Facebook notifications and updates from most Android Smartphones (2.1 and above).

Yes.

Definitely you can download Android applications from Google Play. You just need to download Sony SmartWatch application and it will let you search for new Android Market apps. You can also edit your settings and enable or disable your downloaded applications.

SmartWatch connect via bluetooth

This SmartWatch can connect to most Android phones via Bluetooth and a user can check for updates on calls, text, emails, tweets, status updates, etc.

Without having to touch their phones.
