I have a Fujitsu Life book S6410 and installed Ubuntu 11.04 as OS. I am facing a problem that my Lifebook never got shut down. When I try to suspend it, the screen gets blank but is still on. After sometime light flashes, and it won't come alive again. To shut down it forcefully, I have to hold the off button. The same problem occurs when I try to hibernate. But in this case a blinking cursor showed in the top left corner of the black screen. Can anyone help me out, how to fix it?

Fujitsu LifeBook S6410 won’t suspend
Despite "hibernate" plan removed, have a similar problem. The screen goes blank upon shutdown/reboot/suspend. But not each and every time, as mentioned.
Now I’m operating upon 8.04 Hardy and also the just setup We have done so far is actually installing the Wacom individuals as well as incorporating the particular Wacom lines to xorg.conf. I had absolutely no difficulties final down laptop computer just before this and so the problem should be laying someplace inside the wacom installation/configuration.
Fujitsu LifeBook S6410 won’t suspend
Hi,
There can be various reasons for hibernate and suspend not functioning as required. One of the major reasons is graphics card and power management settings. Please follow below instructions.
1. In “sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf” under “Device” make “NvAGP” “1″
2. ACPI settings need to be modified.
3. In “sudo gedit /etc/default/acpi-support” ensure following:
ACPI_SLEEP= TRUE
ACPI_HIBERNATE= TRUE
SAVE_VBE_STATE=FALSE
POST_VIDEO= FALSE
SAVE_VIDEO_PCI_STATE=TRUE
