Whenever I try to dray documents from explorer, FrontPage gives me this error “Unable to read “filename” since its name contains characters outside the system code page” could it be because it is trying to process the address and the file name at the same time or does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be?

Unable to read filename

Microsoft Office FrontPage

FrontPage is unable to read “…NIMATION STUDIO.SCHEDULESProdCa9b.doc.pdf " since its name contains characters outside the system code page. Please rename "…NIMATION STUDIO.SCHEDULESProdCa9b.doc.pdf " and try again.

Hi Paula,

I can't see the whole path, but the problem is most likely in the file name, not in the location.

Just in case, try moving the file to your Frontpage web folder.

As I can see, there are no special or unusual characters in your filename, so the problem is most likely in one dot too many. Frontpage is seeing your 09b.doc.pdf as a file with a double extension, so you should rename your file to have only one dot (i.e. 09bdoc.pdf).
