Free light XML editor with support for XML Validation, XML Schema catalogs.

Hello,

Few days back, I have moved from working on iOS apps to working on Android and with this, I have moved from using Xcode to using Eclipse.

I like the Eclipse XML editor due to its features like xml validation, schema libraries linking, tooltips for CDATA documentation, and auto-complete.

However, since Eclipse is CPU consuming, I have decided not to use Eclipse for XML editing, and instead find something else that fits the needs listed above & most importantly it is light-weight.

So, can anyone provide me tips if are there any free, light xml editors and xml-schema editors available?

Hello Acke,

Yes i have worked a lot on android applications and also on web applications. The editors i used are Dreamweaver and Flash Builder 4.5, this is the most recommended software for you, because of the simplicity to use it and not much heavy like other editors. It offers three types of application building platforms:

1- Web Applications

2- Mobile Applications

3- Desktop Application.

Here are some other suggestions as well:

1- Notepad++ (very light software)

2- Dreamweaver

Try them also. This might help you as well.
