Since yesterday, I am having problems  viewing videos on  Youtube. I have tried different versions of  Flash player, but problem remained as it was. I am using Mozilla Firefox 5.0.1. Please tell me what could be the reason, Firefox or Flash player?

It seems that you are facing a problem of conflict with extensions. The reason for this crash is the Firefox extensions. To solve this you have to start the Firefox in safe mode.  Now, see at the top most window of the Firefox.  There, you have to click on the Firefox tab.  Now, click on the help menu. Then, click on the “restart with Add-ons Disabled. Now, Firefox will start in safe mode. In safe mode,  click on continue in safe mode.  Now,  try to see videos to test for the crash. If the problem doesn’t appear in safe mode, it means an extension was the cause.

Hello!

I think to solve your problem,  you should first see if you have installed the latest version of Flash player because Youtube is usually working with latest  version of Flash player .

Second, be sure you have uninstalled correctly Flash player, because if you try to crash the old one by installing the new one, it's sure that this will cause a problem.  To avoid this, uninstall correctly Flash player in your computer. Then, reboot you computer and try another installation of Flash.   If it still causes a problem, then reinstalling your Firefox will solve the problem.

You can try to update both Mozilla and Adobe Flash Player to identify the problem. Use the links below to update it:

Mozilla Firefox 22.0

Adobe Flash Player

Also, try to sign out from YouTube if you are using your Google account and play any video and check if it will work. Another thing is, check if you have the Adblock extension or add-ons. If you have it, then try to disable it and press Ctrl+F5. Load the video and then enable the Adblock again.
