Troubleshoot tips:

1. Dig the recycle bin.

Probably that accidentally you deleted the file, so you can dig-in the recycle bin and if found can restore it.

2. Scan your system

Scan your system and check for malware or virus. Sometimes the error is caused due to bugs in the system.

The error only means you don’t have the Xvid codec required by the video to play it. This is normal because this codec is basically not built-in to Windows Media Player. You don’t actually need to install the codec on your computer just to play the video. The best way to fix it is to install another media player that supports the Xvid codec.

And the best way to do it is to install VLC because it has a wide range of supported video codec that will allow you to play almost any video format on your computer. Download the latest VLC media player and install it. The latest version at the moment is VLC 3.0.2 “Vetinari”.

It supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. VLC is cross-platform and you can install it in Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android. This should fix the problem.
