Yesterday, I came across a strange error while I was moving all the operating system files to my new hard drive. It read “QuickBooks error 3371 status code 11118. QuickBooks cannot load license data. This may be caused by a missing or a damaging file.” I tried multiple times, but the operation failed. I don’t know what to do. Please help me!

There is a very simple solution to your problem. If you think back a little, you will remember that you entered your license number and product code for QuickBooks installation initially. An encrypted entitlement file contains that information. Whenever that entitlement file becomes damaged, Quick Books error 3371 status code 11118 occurs.

To repair it you need to rename the offending file, register again and you will be fine.

To do so, carry out following procedure:

Step 1: Firstly, close all running windows of QuickBooks.

Step 2: Enter the entitlement folder for your copy of QuickBooks.

Step 3: Open the Run window (Windows + R).

Step 4: Enter the following bold text in open field:

C:\ProgramData\Intuit\EntitlementClient\V8

Step 5: Remove the Entitlement Data Store.ecml file.

Step 6: Now open QuickBooks application and register yourself again.

I hope this helps you.
