Good Day Everyone. Hope I can get a good experience from you today.

I just installed today a new version of Firefox, and after that I am receiving this error continuously.

Error launching browser window: no XBL binding for browser

It says no XBL binding for browser I thought maybe it’s that this version of Firefox is not well supported with Windows XP 2003.

So I installed Windows Vista on my computer and then re-installed the new version of  Firefox the beta version and then used the browser of a while and after a few minutes I received the same error from the system and then Firefox automatically shuts down now this is not fair I have installed a complete new window, but yet the error remains the same so please just help me out of this situation.

Hi Gordo,

This may help to your problem.

First, you need to open Firefox in Safe mode. If you didn't delete the links in the Start Menu when you installed it, you have a direct link to the Safe mode version there. But if you did, it's very easy to do it manually.

Just go to Start > Run and in there type "cmd". This will get you into Command prompt. From there, go to the directory where you installed Firefox (usually C:Program FilesMozilla Firefox) as shown in the picture: use CD to change directory (you can use the TAB key to auto complete a directory name or file to make it faster), DIR to see the files and directory in the specified location. (You can also change drives if you need with : , for example: D: ).

Once you are in the Firefox directory type: firefox.exe – safe-mode

After you get into safe mode, all you have to do is go to Tools > Extensions in the menu, select the extension which caused problems and uninstall it.

Restart your internet browser and all should be working fine again.
