Hi tech gamers,

I am getting this wired error message when I open a file in game maker. For your information, I didn’t face any error while installation and download everything went perfect. But now I am getting this odd error message, any file missing in the installation? Is this affected by virus? I am not sure what is happening, I need some sort of assistance. Thanks.

Access violation at address 006B5E1E in module ‘Game_maker.exe’.

Make sure your computer meets the system requirements of GameMaker Studio for it to work properly. For Windows users, GameMaker Studio works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. If you are using Microsoft Windows 8.1 try running the program in compatibility mode to any of the supported operating systems.

If running it under compatibility mode still didn’t fix it, either downgrade your operating system to any of the supported platforms or find a different program similar to GameMaker Studio. In case you are using an old version, upgrading to the latest version might help. Visit Download GameMaker Studio to download the latest version.

Once downloaded, uninstall the one on your computer and reboot. After that install the latest version you just downloaded and see if this works. Try also visiting Connection Can’t Be Established for other information.
