There were four main features which were removed in Microsoft Office Word 2010 from previous versions. These included the feature of Auto-Summary. The new feature was expected to be a bit in the previous version, but very few took hold of this. Next, the feature which was removed was smart tag . The changes also included removal of support for in-Word Libraries. Given below is a grabbed screenshot of the Word 2010.

Microsoft Office Word 2010 is part of the Microsoft Office 2010 suite, a version of the Microsoft Office series of productivity suite designed for Microsoft Windows. Codenamed “Office 14,” it is the successor to Microsoft Office 2007 and the predecessor to Microsoft Office 2013 released to manufacturing on April 15, 2010. It was made available to the public for retail and online purchase on June 15, 2010.

Its development began in 2006 before Microsoft Office 2007 was released. It supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 including Windows Server 2003 until Windows Server 2012. This is the last version to support Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008 because none of these operating systems are supported in Office 2013.

Microsoft Office 2010 also marks the debut of Office Online, formerly called Office Web Apps. Depending on what version you previously used, the features that were removed from Office Word 2010 include the AutoSummary feature, Person Name smart tag, Smart tag auto-recognition, and the WLL support or Word Add-in Libraries.

If you were previously using Office Word 2007, these features that were removed were only few but if you are using as old as Office 2003, you’ll be missing a lot of features.
