Faulty LED notification on a Motorola Moto G.

The LED notifications on my Motorola Moto G don’t work at all. All the relevant settings in the menu are checked appropriately, as I have copied them from those of a friend with the same model. But I don’t see any LED notifications ever. The sound notifications work fine, but never the LED ones.

Is there a way to fix this, because it seems silly to send it back to the shop for something like this…

Hey Alyss, the LED notification for the Moto G seems to be a headache to Motorola users since last year. And to add insult to injury, there is no software switch of any kind anywhere in the apps Settings. Calls, messages, e-mails, will not notify you at all. The bug emanated from the after effect of the symbiosis between your Google account and Moto G which is basically a part of the set-up for the phone. Due to the features and applications coming from the cloud technology, it can command the mobile phone to restore these notifications LED set-up from another mobile device, but leaving the light deactivated with absolutely no way of bringing it back to life. Luckily, Motorola created a widget that will give you the option of toggling the notification light on and off, and this cute widget can be downloaded and place it on your home screen. Check this site for the widget.
