Failure to open transmission on Mac

Hello

I recently started getting this error when I try to open ‘Transmission’ torrent on my Mac with Mountain Lion. The complete error message obtained is shown in the attached screen shot. After upgrade to 10.8.5, I face this problem. Earlier I was able to download and use the Transmission bit torrent on my machine without any issue. Is this a new change brought about by Apple? Does this mean I’ll no longer be able to use Transmission on my Mac? Or is there a way to override this setting. I would like to continue using Transmission torrent. Please can anyone suggest a method to do this? Thanks a lot for your valuable help.

“Transmission” can’t be opened because it

Default security policies set in Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion makes this happens and you can either override this message for each installer or apply a setting in the System Preferences and allow applications downloaded from everywhere where to run.

Control-click the installer or the application icon and choose open if you want to run every installer in turn. You will finally see a dialogue that allows you to install this application. If you lick open it will start the installation process. A preference on Mountain Lion allows you to run installers and applications.

So, go to System preferences > security and privacy > click the padlock In the bottom right corner and type in your password if prompted > now choose anywhere and click allow for anywhere> run the installer again and this was it.
