Fails to update or uninstall Impulse

Hi Friends,

This is one frustrating problem I’m having with Impulse. It will neither let me upgrade or uninstall Impulse. When I attempt to update it asks me to uninstall the older version and if I just choose Uninstall, it proceeds to uninstall but soon halts with the ’Error in XML Document’ error message shown in the below attachment. Now how can I proceed forward? I am at my wit’s end trying to find a solution for this issue. Did anyone else face issues similar to this? Please share your ideas. I’m all ears. Thanking everyone who spends their time on this issue.

There is an error in XML document (0,0).

Fails to update or uninstall Impulse

Normally, when a program has a problem uninstalling itself, there is a problem in its installation. When this happens, there is no way or it is almost impossible to uninstall the program because it always stops at a certain point of the process. But there is always a solution to this. If it doesn’t uninstall, maybe it has an incomplete installation.

A program with incomplete installation often doesn’t have the uninstall information which is an important data when removing the program and this applies to all applications. If you still have its original installer and with the application still installed, run the installer again and wait until it is complete. This literally reinstalls the program without having to uninstall it.

Once the installation is complete, restart your computer in Safe Mode. To do this, reboot your computer. Continuously press F8 before the Windows logo appears. In Advanced Boot Options menu, select Safe Mode then press Enter twice to boot in Safe Mode. See image.

When you are prompted, select Yes to continue working in Safe Mode. Click Start, Control Panel then Add or Remove Programs. Find Impulse and click Remove or Uninstall next to it to uninstall the application. Once finished, restart your computer normally.
