I can easily login in Facebook but I am unable to ‘like a post’. Whenever I try to like any post the following error occurs:

There was an error liking the page. If you are the page owner, please try running your page through the linter on the Facebook Website (https:developers.facebook.com/tools/lint) and fixing any errors.

I used Lint to run the URL but that didn't make the dreaded ""Critical"" feedback except this:

Warning

Required Property Missing     og:title is required
Required Property Missing     og:type is required
Required Property Missing     og:url is required
Required Property Missing     og:image is required

What would be the solution for it?

Don’t worry It is a temporary error.

Please make sure that your Open Graph tags are present and in working condition according to linter. Be patient, and before linting again you have to wait at least an hour.

If the problem still exists even after 2 to 3 hours then there must be a problem.

This seems to be the problem of your current session with the Facebook server. Do one of the following things that might be helpful in resolving the issue,

1.       Try logging in after few hours delay as it might be the internal problem of page admin.

2.       Try customizing the security settings of your browser to one level below the required one. (This might be helpful but risky for your PC’s security).

3.       Regarding the feedback, the error you are facing is the problem with your browser. Try using Internet explorer and provide the feedback. You can also use the following Facebook Official’s E-mail address for the same purpose “ [email protected]

Hi there user:

I suggest you to deactivate your Facebook account. I’m sure you are aware that on Facebook, you can reactivate your account whenever you want, as long as you know you username (email address) and your password. I’m quite sure that the problem is in the account. You’ll just need to reset it to refresh your account.

I hope this solves your problem.

Thanks,
