Hello there,

I have just installed an expansion card into a case. However, it does not have enough clearance above the motherboard. How do I go about this?

What are the devices that can solve this issue?

Hi Jdonnel,

The expansion card should be compatible to your motherboard. Try to troubleshoot your expansion card, you should see the operating system documentation and the expansion card documentation as well. Make sure that you follow the Expansion Card Installation Guidelines.

1. Run the appropriate online diagnostic test for you expansion card.

2. Turn off your computer and unplugged it before opening your system.

3. Check if the expansion card was inserted properly and firmly in the expansion slot.

4. Turn on again the system and check if your problem was resolved.
