Am I receiving the following error because there are no tasks to display the logs in the custom view? Is so, how can I resolve it? And if not, what is the possible cause of this Event Viewer Error? I am using Windows Vista. Thanks for the help.

Running System File Checker is the first thing you may want to try. It will scan and fix any corrupted system files on the Operating system. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Right click on the Command Prompt > Choose Run as Administrator on the Security Tab > Click on Command Prompt > Type SFC /Scannow.

Also try to check if the permissions on the folder are all set while you are in safe mode. Try to delete the folders C:WindowsSystem32Logfiles and C:WindowsLogs. The system will automatically recreate with the correct permissions.

Also try to rename C:WindowsSystem32LogFilesWMIRtBackup rename it to RtBackup.bak and reboot while you are in safemode.
