I am recording a video of skateboarding using a Digital Versatile Disk-Recordable (DVD-R), however, for some explanation can be refined on the computer. The disk is not acceptable instead I should use DVD-RW for camcorder or Digital Versatile Disc Rewriteable (DVD-RW) disc to the computer? What is the difference between the two and why I can’t use DVD-R?

Hi,

Make sure you have a software that could detect your DVD-R. This is part of your package if your buy this device. Drivers should be included and install on your PC to detect your recorded video device. Some driver should be updated online like printers, try to search for the update on your device on the internet to make this function. Try to search your device on the internet and download it. This is the only way it would run your videos on the computer. You can also search  the updates on the internet check if there are new update on your drivers. The new drivers should be updated time to time compare to the old drivers before we back 10 years ago, once you install it, it will run for the life time. New drivers programmers continue to create update if the driver or the device was release.

Thanks,

You need to check that you are using the software that supports your computer and it is supported by your DVD writer. Also make sure that the source you used to install your software is a valid software. You have a full version of your software and it is working properly not in trial version also it does not contain any bugs or errors in program. It is fully design to develop the thing you want to use it for. The two programs are different in a way that one is for reading and writing over the DVD while the other one is just to write on to your DVD disk. You need to choose one that best supports your options and you will be easy with your problem.

Make sure that your DVD drive is clean and it is dust free. The lenses is working properly and all the settings are configured alright. You will be then able to solve your problem.
