Error 1402 on uninstalling Autocad

Hi All,

Errors day. I get this error when i uninstall Autocad. What can i do any help on this?

 

Error 1402. Could not open key:

UNKNOWNComponentsHex#Hex#. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

Error 1402 on uninstalling Autocad

Hi all,

The error you have mentioned is generally faced by the permissions limitation of the folder in the registry. To solve this error you will have to make some changes in your registry. For this purpose follow the steps below.

 

Locate this entry in the registry.

 

Hkey_local_machine

 

SoftwareMicrosoft

 

WindowsCurrentVersion

 

Installer

 

UserDataS-1-5-18

 

Components

 

Right click on components and select permissions, click advanced button and Select the Owner Tab then Under Change owner to: Select Administrators and finally click Apply. Then Select Check box replace owner on sub containers and objects and Click Apply.

 

Further go to the permissions tab, select the Check box: Replace all child objects Permissions with inheritable permissions from this object and lastly, Click apply to apply new settings.

 

Now you are done, hope it works for you.
