Error Widows Defender is not turned on its on my Windows 8
I have a new Windows 8 installed system and every time i try to run the Windows Defender i get this error
Widows Defender is not turned on
I have a Antivirus but want the Defender also to secure my system
Hello Tasha,
Never install any other antivirus while Bitdefender is running. It adversely affects your system and there might be conflicts.
If you want an antivirus alongside Bitdefender then before installing, turn off Bitdefender and switch it on only after installation is complete.
Also use the Manufacture's Removal tool available on that particular web site if the problem persists.
Try above suggestion and your problem will be solved.

You might need to update your Windows Defender program for it to be fully functional again. Here are a few suggestions for your problem:
1. Check for the latest updates of Windows Defender, download it and run it to your computer.
2. Set the program to automatically update every time a new update is available so you will not have to manually check again.
3. Every time a new update is available, always take the time to install it.
4. Restart your computer and run Windows Defender again.
