While I was surfing the net on Internet Explorer, the message "You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item" appears at some sites. I was able to view those sites effortlessly before.

To solve your problem, follow these simple steps.
1. Open your Internet Explorer and navigate to Internet Options. (see image below)
2. Select Security Tab and click Custom Level. (see image below)
3. Scroll down unitl you see the Miscellaneous Section. Under Miscellaneous Section, find the "Launching applications and unsafe files" (see image below)
Click OK and restart your Internet Explorer. It should work now.
