Hi there Kenneth,

You are trying to connect your Android device to the internet via your computer using PdaNet. But before that, you should make sure your computer has a Bluetooth – Supported hardware. If not, your computer can definitely not find any device.

However, if your computer's hardware is WLAN supported (you can check this by going to the Network and Sharing Sentre. If you find "Manage Wireless Network" on the left pane, your computer is WLAN supported.

You can activate your WLAN device and install Connectify on your computer. Once you install it, you can easily turn your computer into a WiFi hotspot and connect your Android device to the internet. It works perfectly fine, and I use this software.

And for some reason, if you want to use PdaNet, make sure you have the software in your Android device as well.

You can download it to your device from Google Play (for that you may need a WiFi connection).

If you face any more trouble please don't hesitate to contact me.

Regards

Hello Kenneth,

The error message you are receiving is due to you are not doing it properly. Instead of using Bluetooth, use your data cable for this purpose. Here is the proper procedure to enable tether. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1- Install PDA Net on both PC and on your smart phone.

2- Open the application on you phone and connect the data cable to your PC.

3- Click on PDA icon and choose connect internet.

That's it.
