Hi Tech professionals,

When I am in the process of installing the NI software, I got a peculiar error message. Which is completely new to me and I never handled this sort of problem. I should not install online? What is the system requirement? Now I have Windows 8 operating system. Please guide me to find the cause. Thanks.

It is recommended not to use National Instruments products on Windows 8 as these are not officially supported. However, you may still install and use these products on Windows 8 without issues because most applications supported on Windows 7 will run on Windows 8 due to the underlying similarity between the two operating systems. But there may be problem with the hardware device drivers as that these are not updated and tested on Windows 8.
An in-place upgrade is also not supported. National Instruments recommends you to first perform a clean installation of Windows 8 and then install your National Instruments software. Hope this works now.
