When I am in the process of installing the Borland database, I got to end up with this error message. This error triggered when I am trying to connect the BDE to SQL Server database. This error initiates me to re-install the BDE but now I am stuck up here. Is there any problem with the windows registry? How I can solve this error? Help please.

Error occured while attempting to initialize the Borland Database Engine
I tried searching for Borland Database Engine or BDE since the error message mentioned it but I then realized that my search is going nowhere and Borland Database Engine was only used as part of the installation of BV7. The BV7 QSL Management and Label Printing application is very old and is designed only for Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
But even if you have an operating system or your operating system comes after Microsoft Windows XP, like Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, you can still use it but you have to run it under compatibility mode because if not you might end up with that error you are receiving.
That’s why, I think, you are getting that error because you run the BV7 installer normally and not under compatibility mode. So to fix your problem, right-click on the BV7 QSL Management and Label Printing installer and select Properties. Go to Compatibility tab. In “Compatibility mode”, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for”, and select Windows XP from the dropdown list.
Click OK and run the installer again. See if this fixes the problem. If another problem appeared, right-click on the installer again and go back to the compatibility tab. In Privilege Level, check “Run this program as an administrator” and click OK. Start the installer again and see if this works. If you wish to download BV7 again in case your installer is not available, visit BV7 QSL Management and Label Printing.
