Error Message on Toshiba’s Webcam

The built-in webcam on my Toshiba laptop is not working.

I tried pressing FN and F7 together because that's what others are saying but it's still not working.

A "No Function" error message only pops-up.

How can I fix this?

Hi Roger,

Try to remove and reinstall the webcam application.

To remove the webcam application goes to (control panel > programs > uninstall  a program) then the uninstall webcam application then  restart your laptop and install the latest version that you can download from Toshiba support page –http://www.toshiba.eu/support/drivers/

Regards,

Good day Roger,

I would recommend you reinstall the driver of your webcam :

1. Locate and click the Start button, then locate "Control Panel" then click "System and Maintenance" and then locate "Device manager".

2. Locate "Chicony USB 2.0 Camera" then right click then choose  "Update Driver Software" then locate and choose "Browse my computer for the driver software" then choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer" then afterwards locate and select "USB Video Device" then click "Next"

3. Do a system reboot.

Hope I have helped you!

Take care!
