Error message shown in the Skype application

Hello,

I am a Skype user for the last 2 years now and my Skype application has been running very smoothly.

I was using it one day that all of a sudden, an error message appeared on my screen.

The screenshot of the message is as follows:

Skype.exe – Application Error: The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location 0x0fae5639.

When I click "cancel", the message appears again and again and if I click "ok", my application crashes.

I also reinstalled it, but even then, this message popped up on the screen. I don’t know what to do.

I am badly stuck. If anyone can please help me, I'll be really thankful.

I really need Skype urgently.

Please help me as early as you can.

Hi,

Which version of Skype are you using? And on what OS?

This is very unlikely to happen as you can understand and guess it yourself as long as the program is successfully installed.

Try for one last time to uninstall Skype, all its files, etc. Then reinstall, check online which version is best supported by your OS.

If this doesn't work, then I almost certain that you are a victim of some evil virus. Good luck!
