I have found a good solution for the problem that you are experiencing please follow the steps that I will provide you. Go to my computer and open your drive c: and then go to the program files where you have installed a previous version of the Kaspersky search the folder named Kaspersky lab and delete the folder.

After doing this delete this file on the recycle bin and after that try installing again Kaspersky internet security 2012. If this still occurs please change the destination folder of the files that will be installed in your system. Please read carefuly the instruction on installing the program.

Good Day,

One solution to your problem is try uninstalling your anti virus, or older version of kaspersky(if you have one).

You can easily do this by clicking Start>Control Panel>Programs>Programs And Feature, Select a program you want to remove and then click Uninstall if your using Windows 7.

If your using Windows XP you can click on Start>Control Panel> Add or Remove Programs. In the Currently Installed Programs box, click the program that you want to remove, and then click Remove.

After the program is uninstalled, you should restart your computer. Then you can now start reinstalling you Kaspersky Internet Security 2012.

I hope this guide can help you with your problem.

Hi there ,

I know how to solve this problem because i have got this same error and i have solved it this way .

Just uninstall kaspersky if you have already one in your PC, Go to start -> control panel programs and features (win 7) or click on add or remove programs (win XP) then uninstall kaspersky from it,

Now put on a system restart. Now after the PC boots up open the kaspersky setup,

You can see a check box on the bottom left of the installation saying custom installation, now click next it will ask the destination folder click on the browse and select any other folder other than shown destination now click on next and follow the instructions accordingly.
now do a system restart. You can see kaspersky running ::: 🙂
