Hello! Guys,
I am having a problem while using BitDefenderA n error message was displayed on my computer which says that "The BitDefender Management Server service is stopped or the port value is incorrect", see below the full context of the error.
I was a newbie Sys Ad and was tasked to install Bitdefender Client Security in the office.
I tried connecting to the management console but I couldn’t and got this error message (see screenshot of error below).
I knew I entered the correct details of the Management Server.
I have been installed BitDefender on my system a few months ago and it was working fine but I got an error message when I tried to connect the program. You can see the error message below which will be helpful to find a proper solution to fix this problem. Has your familiar before with this issue? I really need your assistance resolving the problem

I am wondering why I got this error message.Past few days I ran the BitDefender without any problem, I do not remember doing some drastic changes on my computer settings, or installing some application that might ruin my computer.Please share some ideas if you have past by this error, all your ideas and suggestions are highly appreciated.

Hi!
This error you are asking about shows when database is not working properly. If you want to solve this problem follow this. Right click on my computer and select “Manage “and then “Services” stop the BitDefender Management Server service. Open the C:Programe FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL.1MSSQLData and delete all em3*.* files. Then connect to server and at the name “Server Name” select the “Windows Authentication” and make sure that the user name should be Administrator. After that go to C: Program FilesBitDefenderBitdefender Management Servermain.sql and execute it. Start the BitDefender Management Server service. After that your problem will be solved.

You need to ensure that all these points are correct:
– Login details that you’ve entered are correct. If situation is that management server is on exactly the same system as well the management console, correct IP is 127.0.0.1; in other case, correct IP will be same as the one with target machine; username always must be administrator.
– Next services that are required for management server are started: SQL Server Browser service, SQL Server service, Bitdefender Management Server service.
– Connection string in Server configuration file is correct. What you need to do is to open server.xml with notepad from this location: %systemdrive%:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataBitdefenderEnterprise 3Serverserver.xml, or:
%allusersprofile%Application DataBitdefenderEnterprise 3Serverserver.xml
Connection string should point to em3 database and to the instance’s location. Example: " ConnectionString>![CDATA[DRIVER={SQL Server};DATABASE=em3;SERVER=127.0.0.1BDMS;uid=sa;pwd=;]]>/ConnectionString"
– SQL Server Connection Password is entered correctly in Bitdefender Management Console.

Hello Dindo Aguila,
The port value that you entered may not be the right one you are using on that network that you are on, and therefore you will need to crosscheck that. It seems that you are trying to install bitdefender directly from the internet. If that is the case then you will need to have very stable internet connection for the installation to be successful.
Otherwise I will suggest that you just search for the bitdefender installation program from the in ternet, download it and the carry out the installation manually on the computer so that you will not have to go through the trouble that you are having right now.
