When I tried playing Valorant, I receive Error Code: 43 and said there was a problem with my connection or something. I restarted the computer and tried again but the same error appeared. Is there a way to fix this?
The full error reads:
“There was an error connecting to the platform. Please restart your game client.
Error Code: 43”
The error means the game client has timed out connecting to the Riot Games servers and this can happen for several reasons. This error normally appears when there is server maintenance or other server-related problems. When you encounter this error, Riot Games recommends that users restart their game client. This is a workable solution to a majority of error messages that appear in the game.
If this doesn’t work, restart the computer and try again. If this doesn’t work, try uninstalling Riot Vanguard. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select Riot Vanguard among the applications and click “Uninstall.” Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later.
When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and click to delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then restart the computer. After booting, start the game client again to reinstall Riot Vanguard. The installation is done automatically when you launch the game client.
When the installation is complete, restart the computer again then launch Valorant. If this doesn’t work, the problem is probably due to multi-tasking when switching between tabs. The error appears when you press Alt + Tab. So, avoid pressing this key combination in the entire game session. If the problem continues, contact Valorant support.
