I re-installed Swords 2 because of some issues with running the game.

But since then, I always got an error after patching the game. I also uninstalled it hoping that it could fix the issue, but it did not resolve my problem.

Please help me gamers.

Thank you.

Error 311 in Sword 2 after Patching

Hello Jason.

The problem you described is fairly common among players of Sword 2.  The common problem according to the users who got it fixed is exactly what the error windows says – the ge executable file is missing.  For some unknown reason, the ge.exe randomly gets removed from the program files folder.

To verify, access the Sword 2 folder in Program FilesGamersfirst.  Look for a folder with the name "release" and look for ge.exe within that folder.  If it is missing form the folder, your best option is to reinstall the game and re-apply the patch.

Before you run the game again, make a copy of the "ge.exe" file so that you can restore it if ever the file gets deleted again.  Some users suspect their antivirus mistakes the ge.exe file for malware and deletes it.  If you agree with that, then add ge.exe from the exclusion list of your antivirus so that it doesn't get scanned for viruses.
