I am worried about the situation where I found an error in installing Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 on my Windows XP computer.

While starting the DNS setup, I received the error message

Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 Installer Information

Error 1324. The path Mise? Niveau contains an invalid character"

and I was unable to install. I have done too much research to find a solution, but I failed.

If anyone knows about this error message please send me a solution.

To resolve that problem you will need to turn off the user profiles by using the following steps:

  1. On your computer, you will need to select Start and then choose Settings, and then Control Panel.
  2. Thereafter you will double-click Passwords.
  3. And then you will click the User Profiles tab.
  4. You will then select All users of this computer use the same preferences and desktop settings, and then click OK.
  5. Once you have done that you will need to restart your computer if prompted to do so.
  6. And then you will run the installation, and that should be able to install the software for all users.
  7. And thereafter you can turn user profiles on again.
