The black printing in my Epson NX 515 Printer is very spotty and poor. I am using Epson High-CapacityBlack Ink Cartridge which is almost full. Do I need to replace the Cartridge? What could be causing the issue?

Hi Dorothy,

It appears you have Spotty Print in your Printer. I suggest not to replace the Cartridge first. If the spots appear at regular intervals on the Output Print, the printer drum must be damage or possible the Toner might be stuck to fuser rollers. Clean the Fuser Rollers also check the Drum for damage. In case the printer drum is broken, you need to get a new Toner Cartridge.

Also Spotty print maybe cause of Printhead nozzle clogging. This is true if your printer is not usable for quite sometime. Most printer have a cleaning program for Printheads. Run the Program then check if print quality has been improved. Do take note that you need to run the cleaning program several times to have best possible output.

Hope this Help.
