I am using EMachine T3626 and downloaded update in iTunes. After that, my Drive E is completely wiped out. I cannot even play CD's and DVD's because the drive is missing. My computer doesn't have warranty at all so please help as I do not want to spend too much money for this.

Help please.

Thank you.

I don't think that upgrading iTunes is related to your problem. Check your BIOS setup and see if the CD/DVD drive is detected in here. You will identify it using this if there is or there isn't any CD/DVD drive attached to your computer. Then open your CPU and remove all cables attach to drive. Try changing it and then boot it up once again, and then enter the BIOS setup and check it out there once again.

Try changing ports as well if you still can't see it. Then I suggest that you try other CD/DVD drives or buy a new one so you don't need to have it serviced by Emachine.

Hi,

You can go ahead and try deleting the UpperFilters and LowerFilters in your registry. To do this open regedit by going to Start then Run the putting in regedit and click ok (if you have Windows XP) or click on Start then type regedit and then click on it (if you have Windows Vista or Windows 7). In the registry editor search for this entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Then check the entries on the right and look for UpperFilters and LowerFilters and delete them. You just click on each of them then hit Delete.

Thank you. Hope it helps.
