Hi,
I have downloaded SMPlayer 0.6.8 but when I attempted to install the Setup I got this following non sense error. I can’t understand what is this? I have tried to reinstall the program but the same error appeared. Can I get some resolution? I would be grateful to you. Thanks.
SMPlayer 0.6.8 Setup
The binary codec packages add support for codecs that are not yet implemented natively, like newer RealVideo variants and a lot of uncommon formats.
Note that they are not necessary to play most common formats like DVDs, MPEG-1/2/4, etc.
Downloaded SMPlayer 0.6.8 to install the Setup got this error
What this error means is that the software that is being installed has the ability to play specific formats which are not yet supported by your computer. In order to finish the setup, the computer must first have the ability to play these unsupported formats. This is not a problem with the software that is being installed, but is a form of limitation by the computer not being able to support the formats that the player supports.
The best solution for this is to find and download the codecs that would allow the computer to play the unsupported formats. The easiest way to get the codecs for the unsupported formats is to find out what formats are supported by SMPlayer (i.e.; .avi, .mp4,etc.), and download the codecs required by these SMPlayer-supported formats (i.e.; .avi, .mp4,etc.).Â
Once you have the codecs that the SMPlayer-supported formats need, it should install perfectly.Â
