Is there a default password for Windows Storage Server 2008?

I have installed Windows Storage Server 2008.

I am in the login screen but the system installation process has not asked for any password.

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

Yes a default password is available for Windows Storage Server 2008. When you don't specify the password then you can use the following as default password:

wSS2008!

Microsoft set this password when you don't specify the password in Unattend.xml file.

Please let me know if this helped.

If you just installed Windows Storage Server 2008 and got stuck with the login screen, you just need to enter the default password which is "wSS2008". This information can be found on the Windows Server 2008 Release Notes (WSS2008_RELNOTES.DOC) under the Tools of the ISO file. This will be the default password in the Unattend.xml file.
