Dll conflict caused by video games.

Hi,

I had NFS Shift 2 installed and it was working fine until I installed another game F1 2012. After installing this NFS started working slowly (unplayable), then I uninstalled F1 and it started working fine. Was this caused by dll conflicts? If not, then can two games' dlls cause conflicts? How to remove dll conflicts caused by two similar softwares?

Thank You

Hi Jeff,

You can try downloading and installing the latest DirectX version available. It’s possible that when F1 2012 got installed, it did an overwrite of the DLL file being used by NFS Shift 2.

Also, check if your installer of NFS Shift 2 has its own DirectX installer. If it does, then you may go ahead and install it from the CD. Some of these games require a certain version of DirectX to run.
