Hello there guys.

I am currently watching some tutorials on youtube about working on WordPress.

At the beginning of the video, he mentioned there that the tutorial he will be going to show is all about the WordPress.com and not the .org.

What is the difference between these two WordPress sites.?

Firstly I will tell you something about word press; word press itself is software that is very much popular nowadays for making blogs. When people want to make their own bogs they use word press to do that.

Now it is available in two forms, wordpress.org and wordpress.com. When we talk about wordpress.com, then it is free and open source, available for everyone.

Wordpress.com can be sued by any one. On the other hand wordpress.org allows you to make your blog for free, but they do not allow hosting. If you want to host your blog on the web then you need to pay. Means blogging is free but not hosting

Wordpress.org provides the downloadable blog software for free to create your blog, but does not host your blog because you have to pay Web servers to host it. With a paid hosting service provides maximum flexibility and customization.  Anyone can download the software for free but it must be installed on a web server before it will work.

Wordpress.com is blog for free.  It provides web hosting, unlimited database storage with features installation. But it offers paid upgrades (optional). Basic blogs will always be free and the basic services will continue to be upgraded with better features. But it has sets of limitations.
