I am having a problem while trying to create a DVD with TMPGENC DVD AUTHOR 4.

When I try to start creating a DVD. The output what I will get is an error bar saying that:

An error occurred while Canceling the title copy to the hard disc drive. Please refer to the details below. The device is not ready (Error code0x80070015)

What does this mean? I have never come across this problem until today.

TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 (Error code0x80070015)

Wassup Raymond, I believe I will be able to help you solve the query in the best way possible I can. The error that you face with TMPEnc authoring works 4 can most probably be as a result of the type of DVD that you input on your computer, you may try looking for a cleaner DVD or uninstall the software to reinstall it so that it can work.

You may also try running CHKDSK on the drive by opening a command window from your computer.

If this doesn't solve, you can try the safe uninstallation using a software or just the usual uninstallation by going to Start -> All Programs -> Control Panel -> Programs then click 'uninstall a program'

From the list of programs, select the program 'TMPGENC DVD AUTHOR 4.'

Once the program is uninstalled, you can run the registry editor to uninstall all the software files in the program

You will do this by going to HKEYLOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARETMPGENc dvd author4

Registry Editor

Reinstall the program then you can restart your system.

It will and should work well.

I hope this solves your query.

Thanks.

Hello Raymond,

To resolve the problem please follow the steps mentioned below:

1- Remove all CD's, DVD's and Floppy disks if any and restart the system.

2- Check your DVD ROM if it is causing any problem. You can also see the functionality under Device manager.

3- Double check the DVD you are using, it might have any problem.

4- There could be any file missing from your PC. Uninstall the software completely, install it back and see if it works.

These steps might work for you.

Thanks.
