This iPhone dev team already released this extensive update for RedSnow. This made it easy to jailbreak iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch. It can perform a re-restore task. On this version 0.9.15b2, there are fixes for your 3GS. The old bootrom is still visible even after you restore your 3GS. And also the baseband for iPad to upgrade or downgrade is also fixed. If you are running a tethere 6.0 3GS on your old bootrom, you just need to run the Jailbreak process again, you don't need to restore it.
Cydia is automatically installed when you run this update. You don't need to do it manually. It also has the new restore features if you are on iOS 5 versions. And a lot more added features.
