While typing, suddenly the cursor jumps me to a random place on the screen. It actually did it here, when I typed the Title, the last 5 keys of keyboard jumped down to the Question box.

It is a practice while typing that you put your palms in the palm rest of your laptop. Maybe you are just typing with your palms hitting the touch pad of your Dell Vostro.

Also try adjusting your typing speed keyboard rate. To do this, go to Control Panel and then Keyboard. Adjust it to incremental you can be comfortable with. Clean dusts of your keyboard with brushes if you can reach to those gaps. If you still have problems with your keyboard, try to reformat your system.

Do necessary updates to your system, install one application at a time and determine software which could have conflicts in your system. If you are still having problems, bring them to a Dell Service Center for more assistance.

You can try adjusting the touchpad in the mouse Control Panel. Go to start menu, Control Panels then select mouse. Lessen the sensitivity of the touchpad to light. Click ok. If you do not see the control for your touchpad, you need to update the software for the mouse. Download the latest software from this site. If after doing so your cursor is still jumping just like the way it was before, try buying a smaller external wireless mouse. If trying these three seems to give no solution at all and you are hesitant to go into your computer that far, you can try contacting Dell and they will help you by taking control of your computer online and will remedy the problem.
